The more the black transparent liquid carried her away into the unknown, the more her fear and the noise disappeared along with it. Instead, something like reconciliation came over her, allowing her to breathe freely.

But where had everything gone? The shop, Julie, Michael, where were they? Were they also here somewhere? The thought was so terrifying that Anna almost forgot how to breathe again.

Her heart stopped for a moment, held in an icy grip that seemed determined to crush it at any cost.

Anna began to breathe jerkily. The sound echoed through the space and sounded like it was coming from beyond the grave.

Everything the woman had thought about until now was gone, except for one little person whose face appeared right in front of her.

The face was shaped like a small transparent ball that began to descend a short distance from Anna's face.

Julie, she wanted to cry out, but her lungs, which were barely able to breathe, wouldn't let her.

The girl in the bubble began to speak softly to her.

Mommy, wake up, please! Daddy and I miss you so much. Please, I won't be naughty anymore, I promise, mommy! The voice fell silent as if someone had cut it off. Mommy, Anna thought, but that's nonsense, I can't...

Again, she was forced to take a jerky breath without taking her eyes off the sad child's face. This must be some kind of joke, she swallowed hard. She felt her throat burning uncomfortably.

‚‚So, sweetie, what are you telling your mommy today, hmm?" came a deep, mesmerizing voice from somewhere that belonged to no one else but...

‚‚Nothing, Daddy. Today I'm asking Mommy to wake up," little Julie said in a voice so full of grief and pure sadness that anyone would have burst into tears.

Anna was almost one of the first to do so.
