Winter fun in nature
Children's winter fun
Do you think that winter fun belongs only to children? Or do you like to join in and enjoy it to the full with them?
In winter, we spend time in the beautiful region of the Žďár Hills at Three Wells. When there is snow, it is really full of it.
When the snow falls, there is a hill just a short distance from the chalet, from which we go down on bobsleds, sleds, or shovels. The children laugh when the sled jumps sharply over a frozen bump, and the adults can barely hold on.
We dig tunnels in the snow and watch as the children excitedly crawl through them like little explorers. Then it's the turn of us adults, some squeezing through with ease, others staying halfway until someone nudges them forward. Laughter rings out all around. 😄
I admit that I usually manage to successfully avoid winter games like "ball games", it's not really "my kind of fun".
But for example, I can make little angels in the snow.
And what I haven't mentioned yet, and mustn't forget, is building a snowman. We made one very small one and another big one at the same time. What do you put on the snowman's head - a hat or an old pot? Try making your own original snowman this year!
We once made a big snow dwarf 🙂
I also remember my childhood years when we used to build snow igloos.. We added another layer of blocks. There was a gentle crunching of snow underfoot. Then we'd get into the finished thing. Inside, the candles were glowing, and we sat on a snow bench and had a good time.
Sports in winter nature
When it's really freezing, we can get out the ice skates. My best memories are of skating on Macha's Lake. The level was like glass, beautifully smooth. We breathed fresh air and raced on the frozen surface.
Do you prefer cross-country skiing or downhill skiing?
It's changed throughout my life. I used to prefer the slopes as a child. I enjoyed the speed and the occasional bouncing around on snow banks. Later in my teenage years, I came to appreciate cross-country skiing more. I enjoyed the beautiful views of the countryside and the all-around exercise. I can recommend, for example, the Fryšava Glacier or the Sklen Meadow.
Winter rest
And what to do after the winter fun?
Close your eyes for a while. Imagine that you have crawled under a blanket. You're holding a mug of hot chocolate or tea and reading your favorite book. You smell the subtle, sweet aroma. Slowly, the warmth permeates your fingertips as you turn the pages... You hear the rustling of the pages... How does it feel? 🙂
